We always appreciate a little guidance when planning outfits for weddings, so here are some ideas for what to wear!
To start, it’s helpful to know that the wedding is near the beach, but not on the beach– so if nothing else, PLEASE wear shoes! ;)
The ceremony will take place in the garden courtyard, and the reception will be inside the ballroom.
With that, we kindly ask guests to dress in formal attire. Think elevated and elegant, while still comfortable for dancing and enjoying an indoor-outdoor event. We love personal style and encourage you to interpret the dress code in whatever way feels most like you– whether that leans classic, romantic, colorful, modern, funky, or understated.
We also welcome color– anything from timeless neutrals to bold, vibrant tones is completely appropriate.
Formal attire might look like:
- Tailored suits in lighter or classic tones (ties optional)
- Tuxedo-inspired looks or elevated suiting in any color
- Floor-length gowns, midi dresses, or sophisticated cocktail dresses in any color or print
- Elegant pantsuits or other polished formalwear in any style or color
Please avoid overly casual attire such as jeans, t-shirts, sneakers, or athletic wear. Since part of the celebration will take place outdoors in a courtyard, we recommend footwear that’s comfortable for moving between the ceremony and reception.
